Jeremy Swayman Breaks a Bruins Record That Dates From 2013
Jeremy Swayman continues to follow in the footsteps of Tuukka Rask, as a solid performance against the Sabres helped accomplish a feat for the first time since 2013.
Swayman Stays Hot
The 24-year-old followed up a 36-save shutout in his last outing against the Winnipeg Jets, with a 26-save blanking in Buffalo this afternoon. With it, he did something that was last achieved 10 years ago by Rask.
As per Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub:
''Jeremy Swayman is first Bruins goalie to put up back-to-back shutouts in consecutive starts since Tuukka Rask in Apr. 2013.''
Swayman improves to 18-6-4 on the season and is now tied for second with four shutouts. Darcy Kuemper of the Capitals leads the way with five.
Linus Ullmark was quite excited about it as he almost took out his partner in crime with their traditional Win Hug.
