After tough person battles led to him losing his last head coaching job, Jim Montgomery is enjoying incredible success this season, and he credits it to one special person.

Montgomery and the Bruins are enjoying a history-setting pace, as they currently own an incredible 54-11-5 record with just 12 games remaining.

When he was recently asked about his how his coaching style has brought out the best in his team, he reminded us where it all reverts back to.

It All Comes Back to Family

Like any professional athlete, Boston's bench boss credited all of his success to his parents. Mainly, how he learned all his ways of teaching from his mother, which he shared with the media:

''My glass is half full. I think I get that from my mom. I don't think she's ever had a bad day in her life.''

‘'I think as long as you're honest and you're fair delivering your news, whether it's a teaching moment or you're praising them, I think people always respect it.''

Although the Bruins are sitting comfortably, and should win the President's Trophy - barring a complete collapse - Montgomery knows that there's always ways to improve.
