Following the surprising arrest of veteran Bruins forward Milan Lucic in connection with an alleged domestic incident late Friday night or early Saturday morning, head coach Jim Montgomery addressed the media on Saturday.

Montgomery, responding as expected, conveyed his concern about the alleged incident. He confirmed Lucic's absence from the team and expressed empathy for the Lucic family.

Acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Montgomery stated on Saturday,

"We're aware of the Looch situation, and as an organization, that's something we take extremely seriously.

Looch is taking a leave of absence from the team right now. We support the Lucic family and will continue to provide assistance."

Regarding the impact on the team, Montgomery appeared measured, recognizing the unusual circumstances. Despite the atypical nature of the situation, he expressed confidence in the team's culture, work ethic, and professionalism.

"Our culture here is great, and we care about each other. It's not a normal day, but we're professionals, and we have a game to play tonight. We have to get ready for that,"
