Despite going late in the first round, David Pastrnak has turned into a top three player from his draft class, and he may be one of the best Bruins ever once his career is over.

In Boston's latest outing against the Hurricanes, Pastrnak set multiple personal milestones by scoring his 50th and 51st of the season. More on that HERE.

On Pace to Break Record of Bruins' Legend

Host of the Locked On Bruins Podcast Ian McLaren pointed out that Pasta is well on his way to catching Johnny Bucyk, who is currently the franchise's all time leader in goals. As per McLaren:

''David Pastrnak is 254 goals behind Johnny Bucyk for the franchise leader in goals. Even if he doesn't score again this seasin, he needs to average 32 goals per season over his new 8-year deal to hit that mark. He's likely going to smash that.''

So far this season, the 26-year-old has career highs in goals (51) and points (98), with nine games still remaining.

With 291 goals in 583 games, Pastrnak has averaged 40.9 goals per season throughout his nine-year career in Boston. He's now signed with the Bruins for the next eight years, so, there's almost no question that he will pass ‘'The Chief'' some day.
