Intriguingly, #Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo has submitted a letter of intent to acquire 41 acres in Mesa, Arizona, earmarked for the squad's future arena. Beyond this, Meruelo's sights are set on other prospective locations, encompassing Mesa, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.

Meruelo's ambitious aim is to secure multiple sites through contractual agreements, thus providing a range of options. The intent behind this strategy is to have a comprehensive blueprint in place by the initial quarter of 2024. This timeline aligns with the target of inaugurating the new arena in time for the commencement of the 2026-27 season.
