The Boston Bruins have been facing some challenges when it comes to managing their salary cap, and trading Linus Ullmark could be a potential solution.

However, it's crucial for the team to find a suitable replacement who can offer both skill and affordability. One option that stands out is bringing back former Bruin Daniel Vladar.

Vladar had the opportunity to don the Bruins' jersey during his rookie season in 2021. Although his time on the ice was limited to just five games, where he held a record of 2-2-1, he showcased glimpses of his potential. Unfortunately, he was subsequently traded to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL draft.

Reacquiring Vladar as a backup to Jeremy Swayman could prove to be a wise move for the Bruins. Not only does Vladar possess the necessary skills to support the team, but his cap-friendly contract is equally appealing. With a salary of $2 million over the next two years, Vladar's contract allows the Bruins to create the desired cap space while maintaining quality depth in goal.

Bringing Vladar back to Boston would not only address the team's immediate cap concerns but also offer a promising goaltender who can contribute to their success in the coming seasons.
