Although being heralded as having one of the worst rookie pools in the NHL, several Bruins prospects have made massive waves this season.

More specifically, forward Matthew Poitras who joined some very elite company after his very impressive 2022-23 season for the Guelph Storm of the AHL.

Since 2005-2006, only four players in the OHL have recorded 79 assists or more in their U19 season:

1. Dylan Strome (84)
2. Mitch Marner (82)
3. Marco Rossi (81)
4. Matthew Poitras (79)

The Ontario native was Boston's first pick of the 2022 Entry Draft, as he was selected in the second round (54th overall).

Poitras, 19, finished the season second in the OHL in assists (79) and sixth in points with 95.
