Rumour: Bruins linked to Noah Hanifin

Now with that in mind, adding onto the list of possible trade pieces for the Flames, Pierre Lebrun from the Athletic says that a contract extension is unlikely for Noah Hanifin. He has one year on his current deal with a cap hit of $4.95 million. Which is manageable for almost any team, giving the Bruins an opportunity to bring in a top pairing defensemen.

The Flames new GM Craig Conroy has said if he has any idea that a player does not want to be there, moving the player for something is likely. Unfortunately for the Flames it seems like more then just a few players won't out, making them possibly push for a rebuild if more pieces fall through.

Noah Hanifin is part of that long list of players who's contracts expire in one year. The 26 years old, still has a few great seasons under his belt. He was just 10 points shy of a career record in points this past season with 38. Posting 7 goals and 31 assists in 81 games played.

It has been reported that the Bruins have offered first round picks and included Jake DeBrusk and were rejected. Hanifin is originally from Boston, so adding him to the roster would be beneficial for both parties.
