Surprise Statement From Brad Marchand On Bruins Prospect
Boston Bruins' star forward Brad Marchand recently shared his thoughts on the team's top defensive prospect, Mason Lohrei, and it's safe to say he's optimistic about the young player's potential.
Marchand had the opportunity to skate alongside Lohrei during the summer, and he didn't hold back in praising the emerging talent. He noted,"I was really impressed with his abilitieshe skates very well; he's a big kid, very poised with the puck, and very confident with the puck...he's not scared to try different things."
However, Marchand also emphasized the importance of seeing Lohrei in an NHL setting, where he'll face the pressure of competing with NHL players. Marchand stated,
"I'd like to see more of him in an NHL setting where he's competing with NHL players, seeing how he moves with the puck and breaks out of the zone. That's going to be a test to see how he can perform under pressure and forechecks with guys barreling down on him, where you don't have that extra second to make a play. It'll be interesting to see how he can do there, but I've been impressed with him so far when I've skated with him."
