The Boston Bruins are not only in cap trouble, but just in trouble in general. We might have seen Patrice Bergeron, longtime Captain of the team, play his final game. David Krejci may have played his final game. Core players like Charlie Coyle, Brad Marchand, Taylor Hall, and more are all aging and their contracts are coming to an end.

But a new report came out that another Bruin may be leaving as he is expected to get a deal over the $5 million mark.

Tyler Bertuzzi, 28-year-old winger, is leaving the team this season due to cap issues. Bertuzzi was acquired in a trade from the Detroit Red Wings this trade deadline, giving up a 2024 protected first round pick and a 2025 fourth round pick. Bertuzzi actually played really well in Boston, tallying 16 points in 21 games, as well in the playoffs having five goals and five assists, adding up to 10 points in 7 games.

My only question is why wouldn't you want him back? Is he asking for too much? And who else are you going to resign? Or are you going after someone in free agency? I really think Tyler is their best bet, and he has shown he can be a productive Bruin.
