Fabian Lysell might finally join the Boston Bruins as the Providence Bruins star keeps pushing.

Boston's roster keeps absorbing hits, and they recently made another move. The club reassigned Georgii Merkulov to Providence on Sunday, a decision that hints strongly at another recall coming.
With injuries stacking up, opportunity is knocking again.
Lysell has forced himself into the conversation. The 22-year-old winger entered the weekend as one of the leading scorers for Providence, and his game looks more mature every night.
The Bruins know they need more pace and creativity at five-on-five, especially with multiple forwards still sidelined. Lysell brings both.

Fabian Lysell fits Boston Bruins need for speed

Fans feel the momentum shifting toward him, and the buzz only grows louder after every Providence clip. Some still worry about defensive consistency, but many of those mistakes have faded as his usage climbed. A recall now would not be charity; it would be earned.
but, but, but it's just a highlight...okay I honestly don't fucking care anymore, how about that? he's proving he will do whatever he can to make the jump to the NHL, including blocking shots and playing dzone. it costs you nothing to give him a shot.
The timing also helps. Boston's forward group has been inconsistent, and the power play needs movement. Lysell drives play with pace, and his transition game could give the Bruins a new spark.
If the Bruins do recall someone this week, Lysell looks like the cleanest fit. His confidence is peaking, and the organization values rewarding strong AHL play.
For now the decision sits with Don Sweeney and Marco Sturm, but the message from Providence is loud enough. Lysell has done everything asked of him, and the next logical step is finally within reach.
