A fourth major signing has been announced: The Boston Bruins have their official answer now
Yesterday was a big day for the NHL, and it may lead to a boring free agency for fans today as there were a bunch of signings.
A lot of teams ended up locking up some of their free agents and restricted free agents yesterday, leaving only a couple of players available for today.
One player that ended up signing, was someone that the Boston Bruins were in very serious in acquiring via a trade.
The contract he signed was an eight-year, $6.25 million deal.
8x6.25 extension for Romanov.
The islanders are building something 👀
Not only the Bruins, but the Philadelphia Flyers were as well.
Flyers and Bruins are among teams looking at Alexander Romanov as new Islanders GM Mathieu Darche continues to improve his team
Romanov was a restricted free agent, and in 64 games last year for the Islanders he scored 4 goals, 16 assists for 20 points.
Romanov is a hard hitting defenseman, that has some positive upside offensively, it will be interesting to see how this contract ends up working out for the Islanders.
