Boston's 3-2 overtime win at Rogers Arena pushed the Bruins to 22-18-2 and snapped the feel of that recent skid fast. Minten scored twice, including the one that mattered with 19 seconds left in overtime.
The first one came on the power play, a quick wrist shot from the right-slot area, and it set the tone for a night where special teams carried Boston. The Bruins went 2-for-2 on the man advantage, Vancouver finished 1-for-6.
What made the night stick league-wide was the historical note that followed. ESPN's John Buccigross pointed out Minten is only the third Bruin aged 21 or younger with a multi-goal game that included an overtime winner, joining David Pastrnak and Joe Thornton.

Fraser Minten makes Boston Bruins history
If you're a Bruins fan, you felt it right away, this was one of those «remember where you were» rookie moments.
Minten is 21, born in Vancouver, and he was drafted 38th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2022, which still feels weird when he's doing this in black and gold. The Bruins trusted him late, and he rewarded it.
The overtime goal was not a highlight-reel solo rush, it was classic crease timing. Minten hung around the blue paint, pounced on a loose puck after a David Pastrnak shot, and flipped it home.
The homecoming angle added another layer, more than 60 friends and family were in the building and he gave them the full script. Bruins coach Marco Sturm basically said you could not write it better.
Now the numbers look even louder: after Saturday's two goals, Minten sits at eight goals, nine assists, 17 points, and a plus-8 in 42 games. That's not superstardom, but it's legitimate support scoring on a team that needs it.
The best part is how repeatable the tools are, he gets inside, he shoots quick, and he doesn't float on the perimeter waiting for a perfect lane. If he keeps earning second-unit power-play reps, Boston's offense looks less predictable by Tuesday in Seattle.
