Fraser Minten turned a Vancouver Canucks night into a Bruins homecoming highlight.
Boston needed a jolt on this trip, and the rookie center delivered it in the loudest way possible, scoring twice in a 3-2 overtime win at Rogers Arena.
The first one came late in the opening period on the power play, after Alex Steeves slid the puck into the slot and Minten snapped it past Kevin Lankinen at 16:24.
Vancouver answered early in the second, but Boston's special teams struck again when David Pastrnak found Elias Lindholm at the doorstep for a tip-in at 7:25.

This is the part that gets you as a fan, because he did it with roughly 80 friends and family watching, in the building he grew up dreaming about.
«Wouldn't believe it, probably,»
Minten said afterward. The Canucks pushed it to 2-2 on Filip Hronek's power-play marker late in the second, and the third period turned into a grind with Boston hanging on and waiting for a bounce.
In overtime, that bounce finally came, and Minten finished the script at 4:41, with Pastrnak and Mason Lohrei picking up the assists.
Jeremy Swayman did his part too, stopping 31 shots to steady the Bruins through long stretches in their own zone.
Marco Sturm summed it up best with a grin,
«Can't describe a better script.»
Now the Bruins try to keep it rolling Tuesday in Seattle.
