Following their game against the Ottawa Senators, an announcement was made regarding the Bruins' practice today.
Yesterday, the Bruins ended up facing off against the Ottawa Senators, defending their four-game win streak.
Looking for their fifth win in a row, things were not looking good at first for the Bruins. They ended up going down 1-0 after the first period, even though they outshot the Senators 9-2.
Boston ended up bouncing back in the second period, scoring the tying goal just 1:22 in the second period from Morgan Geekie.
They ended up scoring another goal in the second period to take a 2-1 lead but gave up a goal in the third period to tie things at 2 apiece.
Ottawa ended up forcing overtime, but the Bruins came out on top off a goal from Pavel Zacha with 6 seconds remaining in the overtime frame.
Zacha came up clutch for the Bruins, extending their winning streak to five games, and they now sit 9-7-0 on the season and are currently third in the Atlantic Division.
Following the game, a surprising announcement was made regarding their practice today.
Bruins not hosting a practice today
After the game, Bruins reporter Ty Anderson reported that the Bruins will not be holding a practice today.
This is the second time in a week that the Bruins have not hosted a practice following a game.
The Bruins will be off on Friday.
There is a chance that this is because the Bruins are flying out to Toronto for their game against the Maple Leafs set to take place tomorrow night.
