Boston Bruins CEO reveals why Jim Montgomery was fired over general manager Don Sweeney

Boston Bruins upper management today held their end of year press conference, and the CEO, Charlie Jacobs ended up revealing why the Boston Bruins have not fired Don Sweeney, but instead moved on from Jim Montgomery this year.
Early on into the season, the Boston Bruins thought it was a good idea to move on from Jim Montgomery, and ended up firing him.
This came as a huge shock to many, as Jim Montgomery just the previous year had lead the Boston Bruins to a NHL record breaking season.
It only took Montgomery six days after being fired to find a new job as the St. Louis Blues ended up hiring him as head coach.
Fans were pretty upset with management that Jim Montgomery ended up getting fired, but Don Sweeney hasn't after some controversial moves, and they have been calling for his job all year.
Now Charlie Jacobs has revealed why the Bruins ended up moving on from Montgomery instead of Sweeney.

When meeting with the media today, Jacobs was asked about the narrative of coaches being fired instead of management like the General Manager.
His answer was that he believes the head coach has a shorter shelf life with a team than a GM does.

Well this is true, the Boston Bruins have gone through two really good head coaches during Don Sweeney's time as GM of the Boston Bruins, and it may be time to look at him instead of putting all the blame on the head coach.
