Boston Bruins meet Seattle Kraken with Hampus Lindholm on injured reserve and Henri Jokiharju activated, and the blue line suddenly looks different.

The club confirmed a two-player roster shuffle Tuesday, placing Hampus Lindholm on injured reserve while activating Henri Jokiharju off the same list.
Yesterday, the Boston Bruins announced that Lindholm suffered an injury that was going to keep him out of the lineup for some time.
Lindholm's absence hurts because he's one of Boston's few defensemen who can defend the slot, kill plays early, and then turn it into a clean first pass. He's also quietly produced 14 points in 34 games this season, including 11 assists.
Even when he isn't scoring, Lindholm drives exits with his feet and takes the hard matchups so Charlie McAvoy can pick spots. Bruins head coach Marco Sturm already hinted this injury isn't a quick one.
Jokiharju returning matters for a different reason, he stabilizes your bottom four and keeps your pairs from getting stretched. The right-shot Finn has six assists in 25 games this season, and is coming off a 16-game absence.

Boston Bruins injuries force Seattle Kraken adjustments

Honestly, this is the exact week where Bruins fans can feel the blue line start to creak.
Jokiharju helps Boston hold the middle of the ice and keep breakouts simple, one touch, up, and out. Without Lindholm, the weak-side reads get tougher, and the recovery speed matters more.
It also puts pressure on the Bruins' forwards to track back with urgency, especially on Seattle's quick-change counterattacks. If your F3 flies the zone early, you're asking for odd-man looks.
The Bruins are still in the mix at 22-18-2, but nights like this can't turn into «schedule losses."
