And a new forward has surfaced as the perfect candidate.
Colorado Avalanche's Martin Necas would be the best candidate for the Boston Bruins to pursue at this time.
Necas was acquire by the Avalanche just last campaign in a trade that sent Mike Rantanen to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Now, Necas has showed immense promise in Colorado, yet, due to his two-year, $13 million contract expiring at the end of this season, the Avalanche may not be willing to put that money down.
That would ultimately lead this highly skilled talent to be on the open market.
That's where the Boston Bruins come into play.
The Boston Bruins need to make a move on this talent and then sign him to a longer-term deal, to secure his longevity within the franchise.
