Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney is facing some harsh backlash over multiple recent signings

After having one of their worst seasons in almost a decade, the Boston Bruins are trying to put together a better team to be competitive for next season.
With that being said, Don Sweeney has not made any big moves this off-season, and they currently don't have much of a better team heading into next year.
The front office has made some interesting moves so far this off-season which has left them in a weird situation heading into the net season.
There are some talented players on the Boston Bruins roster including players like David Pastrnak, and Charlie McAvoy, but there is no chance the Bruins are going to be contenders next year.
Don Sweeney facing backlash over recent signings
With their off-season so far, NHL writer from Bleacher Report, Adam Gretz has given Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins a "C" for their moves this off-season.
"Boston's offseason got off to a fantastic start when it acquired Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers, giving it a solid middle-six forward at a relatively low cost.
"Everything after that was a big whiff, with none being bigger than the five-year contract for Tanner Jeannot. The Bruins still have a glaring hole at the No. 1 center spot and have accumulated some questionable contracts all over the roster," Gretz wrote.

Arvidsson is a nice addition for the Boston Bruins next season, but the Bruins are still lacking some secondary scoring, and a true top-six player.
There have been multiple reports that the Boston Bruins are looking towards next off-season to make a huge move, but it's not clear if any of the big named players are even going to hit the open market.
