The Boston Bruins lost a lot of players this off-season, but no one bigger then Jake DeBrusk, and even with some of the moves they made this off-season, they did not acquire a top six winger to replace Jake DeBrusk.
Jake DeBrusk and the Boston Bruins management could not agree on a contract, which ultimately left Jake DeBrusk to leave during free agency, where he signed a 7-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks.
Don Sweeney, the general manager of the Boston Bruins finally spoke on the matter, and stated that they are trying to find someone internally in the organization to replace DeBursk and some of the players that could do that are Fabian Lysell or Riley Duran.
Don Sweeney did make it clear that whoever is going to replace Jake DeBrusk this upcoming season is going to have to earn it, and that it won't just be handed to them.
After signing big names like Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm in the off-season, the Boston Bruins didn't have the cap space to sign a top six winger, but they have plenty of solid options to fill the role internally.
