Bruins bench $6.4 million defenseman for fourth straight game

Leading up to their game tonight against the New York Islanders, the Bruins announced that $6.4 million defenseman Mason Lohrei will be benched once again.
Mason Lohrei has struggled big time defensively, and because of that, he has been riding the bench for the past three games.
After being removed from the lineup, head coach Marco Sturm went on to speak about why he was being benched.
Sturm on his decision to healthy scratch Lohrei:
"We expect more from him, and sometimes we have to press that reset button. And it's not like we want to bury him, no, I want to help him, and that's part of the process. And again, you get some good things, but too many mistakes lately."

The idea is that Lohrei will have a bounce back whenever he does return to the lineup, similar to Mittelstadt and Khusnutdinov after they got benched.
Well, Lohrei is going to have to wait at least another game to get back into the lineup, and it could be longer than that.
Lohrei benched for fourth straight game
According to Jim McBride of The Boston Globe, he stated that the Bruins are not making any changes to their lineup tonight against the Islanders.
Meaning that Lohrei will be riding the bench for the fourth straight game.
Along with that, McBride confirmed that the Bruins are once again going back to Jeremy Swayman in net tonight.
