The Bruins are expected to complete a move with a $6.4 million defenseman ahead of their game on Thursday that is turning heads.

At practice this morning, it was noted that defenseman Hampus Lindholm was absent, and fans were worried.
Later on it was revealed that Lindholm and his fiancee, Amanda, ended up having their daughter this morning, hence why he was absent.
Sturm stated that he is expected to play tonight, but there is no guarantee.
Sturm: Hampus Lindholm is expected to play tonight. Hampus and his fiancée welcomed a baby girl this morning.
If Lindholm does play, the Bruins are going to make a move with Mason Lohrei that has fans scratching their heads.

Lohrei to be scratched for second straight game

If Lindholm is not in the lineup tonight for the Bruins, Lohrei will return to the lineup on the third pairing with Henri Jokiharju.
But if Lindholm does return, Lohrei will be scratched for the second straight game.
If Lindholm is in tonight, Sturm expects the same lineup as Tuesday's game against the Islanders.

Aspirot in, Lohrei out.
Lohrei has been terrible when playing with Charlie McAvoy but has been solid when placed on a different pairing.
It's clear that Marco Sturm is trying to send Lohrei a message that he wants him to be better.
This is especially clear considering rookie Jonathan Aspirot is appearing in his second straight game after just making his NHL debut the other game against the New York Islanders.
