The Boston Bruins finally made it official Monday, announcing Jeremy Swayman as their Player of the Week after a dominant stretch that reminded everyone why the team kept faith in him.

Swayman posted a 2-0 record from November 24 to 30 while stopping 67 of 70 shots. His .957 save percentage and 1.44 goals against average were the kind of numbers that tilt games on their own.
Entering the season, the Bruins were unsure whether Swayman could rebound after a disappointing 2024-25 season that saw his numbers dip and his confidence sag in key moments.
Those concerns pushed Boston into difficult offseason discussions. The front office explored potential goaltending trades and weighed the value of parting ways with Swayman.
It never reached a breaking point, but the conversations were real.
Swayman needed to prove he could reclaim the form that once made him one of the NHL's most efficient young starters.

Jeremy Swayman response rewarding Boston Bruins' patience

In a week filled with the other teams heavily outplaying the Bruins, Swayman refused to bend. His performance against Detroit was impressive on it's own.
That confidence now spreads through the lineup. The Bruins are confident whenever he is in net now, a story that wasn't the case last year.
Here is the announcement Boston shared celebrating his standout stretch.
Sway was locking it down 🔒
For a team that nearly moved him months ago, the turnaround feels even sweeter. Swayman is not just bouncing back; he is anchoring a roster that desperately needed stability. If this level holds, Boston's biggest offseason victory might be the decision they ultimately did not make.
