Boston is finally back home after a four-game road trip they completed on Wednesday and are getting ready to take on the New York Rangers today.
During their final road game against the New York Islanders, forward Matej Blumel ended up suffering a lower-body injury.
The Bruins announced that he would not return to the game after leaving early on.
Because of this, it has forced the Bruins to make a couple of roster moves ahead of their game against the New York Rangers.
Boston Bruins make some big moves ahead of game
The Boston Bruins ended up announcing a list of roster moves ahead of their game today.
First, they announced that Casey Mittelstadt has been activated off of injury reserve, meaning there is a chance that he plays today against the Rangers.
Along with that, Matej Blumel was placed on long-term injury reserve, and Michael Callahan was returned back to Providence.
Don Sweeney also announced that the Bruins have recalled Georgii Merkulov from the Providence Bruins.
