Maine Mariners add Zach Jordan from Fort Wayne Komets, and the Bruins organization just reshaped its depth chart.

The Mariners announced Tuesday they acquired Jordan from Fort Wayne in exchange for forward Lynden McCallum. It's a straight hockey trade, one body out, one body in, with a clear eye on getting harder to play against.
Jordan arrives with fresh production on his card. He has six points in 19 games this season, three goals and three assists, and he was a key playoff piece last spring with 10 points in 13 postseason games.
He also brings size that shows up in the corners and at the crease. Jordan is listed at 6-foot-3 and 216 pounds, and he's logged 193 career ECHL games plus 84 AHL games across several stops.

Zach Jordan trade adds bite for Maine Mariners

As a Bruins fan, I love when the system adds a big winger who actually produces, not just a guy who skates in circles.
Tactically, Jordan fits a simple identity shift. He can win a rim, park at the net front, and make a goalie uncomfortable on second chances, which is usually how ECHL games tilt late.
This is also a sneaky special teams add, because his playoff run in Fort Wayne showed he can score when the checking tightens. The Komets page and the ECHL profile both have him at four goals and 10 points in those 13 playoff games.
On the other side, McCallum heads back to Fort Wayne for a second stint after appearing in 71 games for Maine over the last two seasons. He was a pace forward for the Mariners, so replacing that energy will matter.
The timing is clean for Maine because the schedule turns quick. The Mariners head to Reading this weekend, then return home Friday, January 16 for Worcester, which gives Jordan a fast runway to settle into a role.
Now the fun part is watching how it lands in the Bruins pipeline. A strong stretch in Maine can turn into a Providence look, and for Jordan this is a real chance to force that conversation.
