Oliver Wahlstroms fate with the Boston Bruins was just confirmed after being placed on waivers yesterday.
Yesterday it was announced that multiple players were placed on the waiver wire by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
Elliotte Friedman announced that the New York Islanders have placed Engvall and Wahlstrom on waivers, and the Boston Bruins have been linked to Wahlstrom.

The Boston Bruins have been struggling this season, and as Bruins Network has stated, Wahlstrom is a 24-year-old prolific scorer, who is a right shot winger. He has a cheap contract at just $1 million and will also be a restricted free agent after his deal runs out. Bruins Network also stated that this is a good player the Boston Bruins should take a chance on due to him being free.
Oliver Wahlstrom, 24, is a former prolific scorer, right-shot winger and local juniors standout. Wahlstrom makes $1m and will remain an RFA upon expiration. Boston is struggling for right-shot depth and this is a player I'd absolutely take a chance on for free IMO. #NHLBruins
Wahlstrom's fate with the Boston Bruins was just decided
It is now past the 2 p.m. deadline for players to be claimed off of the waiver wire, and according to Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins have claimed Wahlstrom off of waivers.
