Completed Trade Between The Boston Bruins And Toronto Maple Leafs Takes A Major Turn

This morning, the Boston Bruins shocked fans when they announced that they have recalled one of their newest top prospects that they acquired during the NHL trade deadline in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Boston announced this morning that Fraser Minten has been recalled and the Boston Bruins have re-assigned Jeffrey Viel to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

The Boston Bruins ended up trading Brandon Carlo during the NHL trade deadline which came as a huge surprise as there were multiple reports confirming the Bruins wanted to hold onto him.

Ultimately they ended up trading him to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and in return the Boston Bruins got top prospect Fraser Minten, along with a first-round pick.

Many fans probably did not see this coming, but the Boston Bruins are giving Minten an unexpected chance with the organization during the final stretch of games, and why not?

The Bruins are currently riding a 10-game losing streak, something they haven't done in over a decade, might as well take this as an opportunity to see how some of your top prospects fit, and give them a chance to prove themselves.

Minten was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 38th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

He has seen a total of 19 NHL games, all played with the Toronto Maple Leafs where he has two goals, and two assists, but he was playing a depth roll with the Leafs, and the Bruins may be able to give him a chance in the top-six which could pay off.
