Recently, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has commented on the Boston Bruins trading a $6.4 million defenseman.

Mason Lohrei has had a troubling start to the season, and it's led to him being benched by the Bruins.
Bruins head coach Marco Sturm has removed Mason Lohrei from the lineup for the past five games.
Since being removed from the lineup, the Bruins have gone on a roll, winning five straight games.
Due to how good Lohrei is offensively, teams have started to wonder if the Bruins would be open to trading the $6.4 million defenseman.
Now, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has commented on the matter.

Friedman comments on the Bruins trading Lohrei

There has been some speculation that teams may call the Bruins to see the availability of Lohrei after being scratched.
Friedman stated that teams have been calling the Bruins to see if he is available, but he doesn't know if the Bruins are willing to trade him.
Take a look:
Friedman on Lohrei:

«I don't know that there's anything going on trade-wise with Mason Lohrei. But I do know that when a talented, young player like him sits four games in a row, others call and ask what's up.»
It will be interesting to see what the Bruins decide to do with Lohrei, but it's hard to see them moving on from such a talented young defenseman.
