The Boston Bruins may be looking to shake things up, as they have recently moved on from Jim Montgomery. Now, they may try and move on from a $30 Million dollar defenseman.

Nikita Zadarov was signed during the offseason after he was disappointed with the offer from the Vancouver Canucks.

He'd be signed by Don Sweeney, and be one of two former Canucks who are a part of the Bruins at the moment.

This season, the Bruins would be a team the majority of fans and pundits would be a team who'd improve, as Zadarov has had a positive impact on teams he's been with before, like the Canucks and Flames.

However this season, he's recorded 5 points( 5 A) in 22 games, with an astounding 46 PIMs.

This could be a motivation for Don Sweeney to move on from another one of his errors and could be helpful in clearing cap space to be used on other talent.

According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman thinks the Bruins could send him back to the Canucks.

Weird idea that may only make sense to me: Nikita Zadorov back to Vancouver. No idea if even possible, or if anyone would want it, but he was a good fit and the Canucks miss him.

Montgomery had concerns about Zadarov fitting into the Boston Bruins system and this could just be another reason why the Bruins could be done with the Russian defenseman soon.

«I don't see him pressing,» Montgomery said, via the Boston Globe. «At times, he looks like he's understanding exactly what we're trying to accomplish, and at times he looks like he's not.»

Earlier in November Zadarov would disagree with Montgomery's assessment of the team and his own play.

«I think past five games I was really dialed into it, and it's been good, been easy so far,» Zadorov said. "Obviously, we're in the little slump right now.

"The puck's not going in, every bounce is going back to us. We're trying to stay positive in here and all the guys try to work together, but when the unit of five works within the system, I think the system is perfect for us.»

Could Zadarov being on the block be a result of his inability to take constructive criticism from his coaches? He seems to be a part of the group that ushered in the end of Montgomery's time in Boston.
