A major sports network doesn't seem to have too much faith in the Boston Bruins for the near future. ESPN just released their NHL power rankings over the next three seasons, and the Bruins were not placed high.
Boston was placed inside the bottom ten, finishing at number 24 on the list, just behind the Arizona Coyotes. With the departure of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci via retirement and players like Dimitry Orlov and Tyler Bertuzzi, among others, in free agency, there are a lot of questions surrounding the roster for the next few seasons.
Although the Bruins are not in an ideal spot on this list, a lot can still happen over the next three seasons. Trades could be made, and there will undoubtedly be off-season free-agency signings. Only time will tell how accurate this list is.
