Ex-Boston Bruin Milan Lucic makes headlines on social media after signing a PTO contract
New controversy has unfolded regarding former Boston Bruins, Milan Lucic, following the St. Louis Blues offering him a Professional Tryout Offer (PTO).
On Tuesday, August 19, the St. Louis Blues announced that the organization signed 37-year old, Milan Lucic, to a professional tryout.
Milan Lucic set to make his return to the National Hockey League for the 2025/26 NHL season
The veteran forward's last appearance within the National Hockey League was during the beginning of the 2023/4 NHL season, where he endured just four games with the Boston Bruins before taking an indefinite leave of absence.
This absence was due to the fact Lucic was charged with illegal acts, yet shortly after the leave was announced, prosecutors dropped the case just four months later.
Former Boston Bruin, Milan Lucic, officially signs PTO with the St. Louis Blues
The Blues have officially stated that Lucic completed the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and that he has been reinstated by the National Hockey League.

However, following Lucic's return announcement, fans have begun voicing their opinions regarding the veteran forward, suggesting that he should have took the loss and retired from professional hockey.
