Former Boston Bruin Torey Krug's career might be hitting rock bottom very soon following an announcement.

A recent announcement made from Frank Seravalli revealed that Torey Krug might be a buyout candidate for the St. Louis Blues.

Last summer the St. Louis Blues tried to trade Torey Krug to the Philadelphia Flyers, but Krug blocked the trade from happening with his no-trade clause. The St. Louis Blues seem to be going in a different direction and don't see a fit for Krug on the team anymore.

Krug spent nine years with the Boston Bruins from 2011-2019 and is more famously known for his no helmet hit against Robert Thomas during the Stanley Cup Finals in 2019.

Seravalli reported that the chances of Torey Krug being bought out are very high especially since he has a NTC and the Blues are trying to work around a rebuild without going into a full one.

Torey Krug is 33, and has 3 years remaining at $6.5 million and if the Blues were to buy him out they would pay him from $333k-$2.33 million across 6 seasons.
