At times, you have to wonder if Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney regrets making the decision to trade his former captain Brad Marchand, especially whenever you hear a heartwarming story like this one.

Last year, during the NHL trade deadline, Don Sweeney shocked everyone whenever he actually traded captain Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers.
Heading into the deadline, there were rumors that this was going to happen, but many believed that nothing was actually going to come out of it.
That was until an announcement was made just minutes before the deadline came to an end, revealing that Marchand was traded to the Florida Panthers.
Ever since that moment, Marchand has been proving to everyone that it was a huge mistake by Bruins GM Don Sweeney.
Marchand went on a crazy run during the playoffs for the Panthers last season, scoring 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points in 23 games, helping the Panthers win their second Stanley Cup in as many years.
Not only is he a leader on the ice, but he is also a great leader in the locker room and an even better teammate.

Brad Marchand's heartwarming gesture towards Florida Panthers teammates

On Thanksgiving, Brad Marchand showed the type of person he is.
According to his teammate Luke Kunin, Marchand and his family ended up having a Thanksgiving dinner for his teammates who didn't have any family in town to celebrate with.
Take a look:
Kunin says Marchand is hosting Thanksgiving for some of the guys on the team that don't have family in town.
This just shows what type of person Brad Marchand is. He definitely didn't have to do this, but he just has a great heart.
Trading him away might be one of the biggest mistakes Don Sweeney will make in his career.
