According to Khudobin's agent, negotiations have been underway with HC Lada Togliatti, who are making their return to the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) after a three-year hiatus.
Over the course of his NHL career, the 37-year-old Khudobin showcased his skills with several teams, including the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and Chicago Blackhawks. Throughout 260 games played, he attained a solid record of 114 wins, 92 losses, and 33 overtime or shootout defeats. His goals-against average (GAA) stood at 2.52, accompanied by an impressive .916 save percentage and 11 shutouts.
Khudobin's time with the Dallas Stars was particularly remarkable, as he backstopped the team to the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, where they narrowly fell short against the formidable Tampa Bay Lightning.
Now, Khudobin, hailing from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, is embarking on an exciting chapter in his career, aiming to make a significant impact in the KHL and contribute to HC Lada Togliatti's resurgence in the league.
