Gary Bettman delivered some controversial news to all 32 NHL teams today.
The NHL commissioner is proving that all he cares about is money in a recent announcement directed at the Boston Bruins and every other team in the NHL.
Gary Bettman advised every team to hold off on completing trades during the Stanley Cup Finals so that fans will be focused on the Finals instead of other NHL news.
An insider from the Ottawa Senators organization was the first to report this.
If the season ends tonight there is a chance we see a flood of moves by Monday. The league has gently nudged teams to let the Stanley Cup finish before they make any moves. While not enforceable the league has offered a suggestion to let the Cup be handed out without distraction.
The Boston Bruins are looking to make multiple big moves during the off-season and one of the biggest ones will be possibly trading Linus Ullmark, and it seems like the Bruins will have to wait till after the playoffs to make a trade due to Bettman.
