New heartwarming news has surfaced regarding former Boston Bruin, Nick Foligno, and his family.

Nick Foligno met with the media today, October 20, on his return to his organization, the Chicago Blackhawks, following his time away from the NHL.
Foligno's absence was due to the fact that his 12 year-old daughter, Milana, had underwent surgery for issues related to a congenital heart condition this past week.
"Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno is taking a brief leave of absence as his daughter undergoes follow-up surgery related to her congenital heart disease. Nick, nor the Blackhawks, will have any further comment at this time."
However, this morning, some good news struck the hockey world, as Foligno was back on the ice for the Blackhawks' morning skate.

Nick Foligno met with reporters and revealed his daughter is recovering well

"Happy to report now that Milana is home now and doing well. She's probably the one who gives us the most strength with the way that she's handled this adversity. It's impressive for a 12 year old girl to handle this face on. We're so thankful for Boston Children's Hospital... the surgeon, the nurses the care that we received there... they're incredible. Really thankful and our family is so humbled and appreciative for all the support and love and I'm just so thankful to be back around the team."
The hockey world hopes Milana has an extremely quick recovery!
