Heinen issued a statement after being nominated for Bill Masterton
Danton Heinen expressed gratitude after receiving the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy nomination from the Boston Bruins.
"It's been a fun year...a lot of uncertainty coming in but I'm grateful to be here and it's a fun group to be a part of,"
Heinen stated.
Heinen was signed to a PTO coming into the year and finally signed with the Bruins almost a month into the year.

Heinen has had a big impact on the Bruins and their season so far and has put up 34 points in 69 games on a league minimum deal.
