Multiple NHL insiders revealed that Patrik Laine is looking for a fresh start with a different team, and the Blue Jackets have told people that they are going to try and work out a trade to move him.
Given that Laine wants out he more than likely would want to go to a contending team, and the Boston Bruins could be a perfect fit for the former 40 goal scoring winger.
The Boston Bruins have stated that they want to bring in secondary scoring this off-season and Laine could provide that if he stays healthy. Laine is a multiple time 30-goal scorer and once hit the 40 goal mark which was in his second season with the Winnipeg Jets.
Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic was traded from the Winnipeg Jets to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2020 in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois and a 2022 third-round pick.
Laine has dealt with some health issues and injuries over the past couple of seasons, but if he can stay healthy, the Boston Bruins should be all in for him as he fits the need the Bruins are looking for.
