After personal troubles led to him losing his last coaching job, Jim Montgomery is enjoying incredible success with the Bruins, and he credits it to one special person.

With Montgomery behind the bench, Boston put up the best regular season in NHL history and his coaching style is a big part of that.

When he was recently asked about his how he's brought out the best in his team, he reminded us where it all reverts back to.

It All Comes Back to Family

Like any professional athlete, Boston's bench boss credited all of his success to his parents. Mainly, how he learned all his ways of teaching from his mother, which he shared with the media:

''My glass is half full. I think I get that from my mom. I don't think she's ever had a bad day in her life.''

'I think as long as you're honest and you're fair delivering your news, whether it's a teaching moment or you're praising them, I think people always respect it.''

Although the Bruins are sitting with a 3-1 series lead over the Florida Panthers, now is when his job means the most.
