Jim Montgomery, the coach of the Boston Bruins, explained their decision to start Jeremy Swayman for Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs.
He said they wanted to give Swayman a chance to start a series, showing confidence in the young goalie.
Montgomery mentioned it would be difficult to change goalies after starting with Swayman but emphasized they would also be comfortable with Linus Ullmark.
As for Game 2, Montgomery didn't announce the starting goalie, keeping the decision under wraps for now.
Montgomery said they wanted to see Swayman start a series.
Says it would be hard to go away from him, but also reiterates the team would be comfortable going to Ullmark.
