There was some speculation that Artemi Panarin may be playing tonight in the game against the Boston Bruins, but a recent report has revealed that he will not be in the roster for tonight's game.
Artemi Panarin was injured during the New York Rangers most recent game on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. Panarin exited the game and did not return.
New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette listed Panarin as day-to-day after practice on Wednesday, but made it clear he will not be playing in tonight's clash against the Boston Bruins. He did state that he hopes Panarin can appear in another preseason game.
The last time these two teams met, tensions boiled over at the end of the second period, due to a dirty hit that led to Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon to leave the game in the first period.
He would return for the second period, and at the end of the second period, he went after Brennan Othman for some revenge.
The Boston Bruins would go on to lose this game 3-2, but tonight they are dressing some NHL players and will be looking for a different outcome.
