A big development has surfaced regarding the Boston Bruins signing Tyler Johnson to a contract before their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Following a report this morning from a Bruins insider, it is believed that we may get to see Tyler Johnson sign a contract before the Bruins game tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and play for the Boston Bruins against the Leafs tonight.
This was confirmed by a Bruins insider this morning who stated that the Boston Bruins did not make any recalls from the Providence Bruins after waiving Riley Tufte, and that Tyler Johnson is expected to sign a deal with the Bruins before 2pm.
No recalls from the #AHLBruins with the potential added cap space of the Tufte waiving, I'd expect the announcement of Tyler Johnson signing a one-year deal will happen after 2pm this afternoon.
The Bruins have been struggling to stay out of the penalty box, and to score goals, adding someone like Tyler Johnson into the mix might help out.
The Boston Bruins also need help in the 5v5 department as they currently sit in the bottom of the league in all the stats.
Bruins getting hammered at 5-on-5.
