After confirming that Mason Lohrei was going to be benched for a fourth straight game tonight, head coach Marco Sturm commented on it.

Leading up to their game against the New York Islanders, reporter Jim McBride of The Boston Globe revealed that the Bruins were not making any roster changes tonight.
With that being said, this means that 24-year-old defenseman Mason Lohrei will be sitting on the bench for a fourth straight game.
When Lohrei was originally removed from the lineup, Sturm commented on the reasoning behind it and had this to say.
Sturm on his decision to healthy scratch Lohrei:

"We expect more from him, and sometimes we have to press that reset button. And it's not like we want to bury him, no, I want to help him, and that's part of the process. And again, you get some good things, but too many mistakes lately."
Now, ahead of their game tonight, Sturm has once again commented on why Lohrei is going to be riding the bench for a fourth straight game.

Sturm stated that the reason for him sitting once again is because the players in the lineup have been playing great, and basically if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Same lineup from Saturday.

Sturm on no Lohrei (healthy scratch) and sticking with same D pairs:

«..right now those guys are, they've been excellent, so there's no reason for me to change that has nothing to do with Mason.
Lohrei is going to get another chance in the lineup soon, but for now he is going to have to watch the Bruins try and win their fourth game in a row from the press box.
