The Bruins kept things rolling on Tuesday night in their rematch against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Despite beating them for a second time, star winger
David Pastrnak gave the Bruins a bigger reason to celebrate.
Pastrnak ended up scoring his 400th career goal in the NHL, which made him just the sixth-ever Bruin to do this.
Three of the Bruins that hit the 400-goal mark have their jerseys retired in Johnny Bucyk, Phil Esposito, and Rick Middleton. The only other two may have theirs hanging there one day as well: Patrice Bergeron and
Brad Marchand.
This is a huge milestone.
Right after Pastrnak scored the goal in the second period, the Boston Bruins cleared the bench to celebrate with Pastrnak. Swayman also came all the way down the ice to join in on the fun.
The Bruins' bench empties after David Pastrnak scores his 400th career goal.
It just goes to show how much David Pastrnak actually means to the Bruins and is the type of thing that could eventually lead to him having a 'C' on his chest.
Now, Pastrnak is only three goals away from passing Middleton for the fifth-most in team history.
Along with that, he is 23 goals away from passing Marchand and 28 from passing former teammate Patrice Bergeron.
If he stays healthy, there is a chance that Pastrnak passes all three of them before the end of the season.
Do you think David Pastrnak will sit top three all time goals scored with the Boston Bruins at the end of the year?
