Last night's game between the Boston Bruins and the Florida Panthers took an unfortunate turn.
During the action, Panthers forward
Sam Bennett and Bruins captain
Brad Marchand collided, and it looked like Bennett landed a punch to Marchand's face as he was going in for a hit.
The incident has serious implications for Marchand's participation in the rest of the series. According to Rich Keefe from the RichKeefeShow and the Dork Podcast, it doesn't look good.
Marchand is now in concussion protocol and is set to miss at least games 4 and 5. You can see Keefe's report on the situation here.

Marchand is a pivotal figure for the Bruins, not just as their captain but also as one of their top offensive players.
His potential absence for more games—or possibly the rest of the season—is a major blow. It's going to be a tough challenge for the Bruins as they try to push through the second round without him.
The team will need to pull together and step up their game to fill the void left by one of their key leaders.
