Yesterday a lot of drama was stirred up by the Boston Bruins management during their season-opening press conference when Cam Neely dropped a bomb about the Jeremy Swayman situation.
Cam Neely, the president of the Boston Bruins revealed that the Boston Bruins offered Jeremy Swayman a $64 million contract, which has opened a can of worms.
Jeremy Swayman's agent Lewis Gross then took to social media to state that neither Jeremy Swayman, nor his agent were informed about this contract offer.
Well according to Frank Seravalli, the Boston Bruins used this press conference to try and make Swayman look like the bad guy, and pressure him into signing with the Bruins.
Apparently the Boston Bruins never did offer Swayman a $64 million contract, going by Frank Seravalli the real offer was eight-years, $7.8 million which would equal out to be a $62.4 million contract.
Nonetheless this situation is getting ugly for the Boston Bruins, and Elliotte Friedman has reported that all of this may cause Jermey Swayman to request a trade from the Boston Bruins.
