Olympic roster announcement involving two Boston Bruins leaves one heartbroken

For Jokiharju, it's a deserved moment in the spotlight. The 26-year-old right-shot defenseman was a 2017 first-round pick, 29th overall by Chicago, and he's carved out a reputation as a steady, detail-first option.

That steadiness is exactly what international coaches lean on in a short tournament. Finland is going to need clean breakouts, low-drama shifts, and defensemen who don't wander when games get tight.

As a Bruins fan, it's hard not to feel for Korpisalo here, even if the decision tracks. Goalies live in the harshest spotlight, and his season in Boston has already had enough rough nights that the snub doesn't exactly shock anyone.

The other part that stings is how final it looks on paper. Finland chose Kevin Lankinen, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, and Juuse Saros to carry the crease, leaving no room for Korpisalo when the list got real.
