The Boston Bruins organization has had a tough time securing ideal positioning for their net-minders within these past couple years, and it looks as though history may repeat itself.

Just last summer, the Bruins organization dealt their former net-minder, Linus Ullmark, due to both Boston goalies, Jeremy Swayman and Ullmark, stating they wanted more stats, around 55 each.
However, this wasn't possible, as the regular season is an 82 game schedule, Ullmark was ultimately the odd man out, however, it seems as though history may be repeating itself as the Boston Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo has found himself in a similar position.
A new report by Dave Jenkins from nhltraderumours.com revealed the net-minder announced he is not too thrilled with his ice time in Boston and that his agent laid down an ultimatum for GM Don Sweeney.
Take a look:
«During his end-of-season media availability, Korpisalo hinted at his frustrations: «I don't think there's any goalie in the league who's really comfortable playing 20 to 25 games.

So I'm going to push for more games, and we'll see what happens.» This statement alone made it abundantly clear that the 31-year-old is eager to secure a more prominent role, whether with the Bruins or elsewhere.»

Following this report, Jenkins later reported a Boston Bruins insider revealed Korpisalo's agent gave an ultimatum to the organizations GM.
«Boston Bruins insider James Murphy dropped the bombshell, revealing that Korpisalo's agent, Markus Lehto, has laid down a clear ultimatum to Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney: either give Korpisalo more starts next season or find a new home for him.» Dave Jenkins wrote.

Furthermore, the Boston Bruins insider, James Murphy, allegedly revealed that multitalented teams have already made calls to the Bruins about Korpisalo's availability.
«Murphy further detailed, quoting another trusted NHL source, that multiple teams have indeed already made calls to the Bruins about Korpisalo's availability.

While no specific teams have emerged as frontrunners yet, the level of interest suggests a potential market developing swiftly around the Finnish netminder.» Jenkins revealed.

Although it is uncertain whether or not Boston can expect another year with Joonas Korpisalo, it is certain that the net-minder is not willing to sacrifice minimal ice-time to stay within the organization.
