Report: The Boston Bruins are mistreating this prospect and a statement was issued

Earlier this month, the Boston Bruins confirmed that had cut two fan favourites from the organization.

One of these talents is the one and only, Matthew Poitras.

Poitras did not make the Boston Bruins' NHL roster for the 2025/26 regular season, despite undergoing 33 games within the organization last campaign, and fans don't seem too pleased.

And recent insight has surfaced, revealing Bruins fans are no where near happy with Boston's decision to demote this talent.

This post ultimately created a major debate regarding the Boston Bruins' current standpoint with the players in their roster.

In this debate, the Bruins Network account revealed the Boston Bruins should be offering Matthew Poitras more opportunity, as he is a much better option comparatively to others and he needs the NHL experience to excel.

Matt Poitras made the NHL out of training camp at 19, 20 and is now back in the AHL after recording 1.05 PPG while making it look relatively easy in that league. He's still a better option than several players and needs to play in the NHL to get better against NHL'ers.
