The Boston Bruins have completed a 2-player transaction

Today, April 19, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney had some big news. He said forward John Beecher and defenseman Mason Lohrei are back from Providence.

Beecher, 23, played 52 games with Boston this season, scoring seven goals and three assists. He's also played 17 games with Providence, getting four goals and four assists. Beecher, from Elmira, New York, was picked in the first round (30th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

Lohrei, also 23, played 41 games with Boston this season, getting four goals and nine assists. He's also played 19 games with Providence, getting one goal and 14 assists. He was picked in the second round (58th overall) in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

Johnny Beecher and Mason Lohrei recalled from Providence.




The return of Beecher and Lohrei is a big deal for the Bruins as they get ready for the next games.
